Hey, you. Thanks for dropping by. Buffalo Wild Wings, one of my most-visited restaurants, has altered its food. The restaurant now boasts new boneless wings and hand-breaded tenders.
Obviously, I had to see what’s up. I ate an order of the new boneless wings, or high-end chicken nuggets, last week. (I like boneless wings, but they really aren’t wings). I would say they are slightly improved. The breading is thinner, and now has more of a crisp than a crunch and the quality of the meat seems better.
The chicken strips went through a similar transformation.
BDubs’ new hand-breaded tenders feature the same concept — thinner breading and chicken that is seemingly better quality. I was a rookie when I reviewed its old crispy tenders (the score for the old ones is too high, more like a 6.8), so I thought it was fair to go back and give my thoughts on the current product.
The breading on these bad boys was seriously crispy. My eye test told me this would be the case, but I didn’t quite expect them to be that level. It was tasty and better than the old, but my one complaint is it was almost too flaky at times. Nevertheless, the strips were definitely solid.
BDubs’ fries and ranch will never disappoint. They’re always a good bet. I also got a side of the “hot” wing sauce, which is one of my favorite sauces there. It paired nicely with the strips.
Overall, I’ll give Buffalo Wild Wings’ new hand-breaded chicken tenders an 8.3. My lone knock is the breading was just a bit too flaky, but overall, it was a really nice chicken strip basket. I definitely approve of the new breading.
I might give it a little facelift and upgrade to a premium plan in the near future. Tell your children, tell your friends. I wanna grow this thing, eat my way through Fargo-Moorhead and tell you about it.
Thank you for being here. 8.3.
