I MISS SPORTS. I WANT MY LIFE TO RETURN TO NORMAL.
Oh, was that out loud? Uh, hi. Everything’s fine.
Nah, but on a serious note, it could be a lot worse. I’m extremely thankful to still be working and healthy. We just have to keep our heads up and persevere.
On a lighter note, more chicken strip content lies ahead.
I hit the freezer aisle in my local Target and grabbed what looked appealing. I ended up with Good and Gather crispy chicken strips and Ore-Ida golden waffle fries and threw them in my air fryer for about seven to nine minutes each.
I gotta say, this was pretty respectable for coming from the freezer section.
The tenders were higher quality than I anticipated and the breading was pretty thick and basic, but it crisped up nicely in the air fryer. The fries were also pretty solid. Just standard waffle fries that weren’t as good as you’d find in the restaurant, but that air fryer always makes food come out better than anticipated.
I paired it with some Market Pantry ranch and ketchup, a beautiful midwestern combination.
Overall, I’ll give this meal a 5.9. The frozen, store bought stuff can only reach so high, but this was not half bad and is the best frozen basket I’ve had thus far.
That’s all I got for ya. Stay safe, wash your hands, take precautions. Do what you can to help life get back to normal sooner rather than later.
