Welcome to Basket Review numero three. This time I will be talking about one my favorite places on Earth: Buffalo Wild Wings.
Holy hell do I love BDubs. They have wings, burgers, wraps, a great appetizer selection, chicken strips and TVs with sports on as far as the eye can see. It’s as close to heaven on Earth as I’ve come to at this point in my life. These chicken strips could have been a 0.2 and BDubs would still be one of my favorite restaurants.
Luckily, the basket was not a 0.2.
The strips tasted and looked like a classic chicken strip. The breading was thicker than both Chick-fil-A and Wow Café’s, and they were very crunchy, which I enjoyed.
The fries were decent. There was nothing memorable about them but there was nothing bad about them; just regular fries.
It tastes like BDubs makes their own ranch, but I can’t confirm it. As you will get to learn throughout our chicken-eating adventures, I appreciate a good house-made ranch. Props to BDubs for (probably) making their own.
Overall, it was exactly what I want out of a chicken strip basket. Decent, crunchy strips, adequate fries and a nice-tasting ranch to dip everything in. I give Buffalo Wild Wing’s chicken strip basket a 7.5.
BDub’s basket was so close to being better than Wow Café’s, but the seasoning Wow Café used on the strips and fries is what gave it the slight edge.
