Welcome to the eighth (Basket Review) wonder of the world. This round, I checked out one my favorite bars, Pub West.
Pub West is (I think) the only restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in West Fargo; however, I can safely say it’s definitely my favorite West Fargo eating establishment.
If you take my advice and venture to Pub West, I recommend dabbling into the chicken strip basket.
The strips were decent quality and very crunchy; I always enjoy a properly crisp chicken tender. The breading was on the thicker side, which was nothing to complain about.
The fries were fairly crispy and solid overall. They weren’t bland by any means, but my one complaint is they could’ve used some more salt.
Satisfyingly crunchy fries and chicken strips paired well with Pub West’s creamy and delicious house-made ranch.
Overall, this basket was a solid 8. I liked it more than I thought I would. I’m not saying I went in with low expectations, but I was anticipating a run-of-the-mill chicken strip basket you’d find at a bar.
Also, shout out to the A1 service. Pub West … solid 8.
