Hi, hello and welcome back. I apologize for my absence these couple weeks. Life has been very busy lately, and while it’s been busy for mostly great reasons, it’s good to kick back, relax and be overly critical of some deep-fried food.
If you were feeling some form of emptiness, I’m sure it’s because you haven’t had a new Basket Review to read.
Well, I’m back and am happy to lift your spirits. Let’s dissect some chicken tenders.
The Turf’s chicken strip basket was pretty basic. The strips had a generic flavor with adequate crunch and average quality.
Jumping from the strips to the fries, the theme remains the same. They were very standard but really needed some salt. The ranch was quite good and helped revive the fries a bit.
I give the Turf’s chicken strip basket a 5.4. It was basic and average. I do like the place though, so don’t let my review discourage you from going.
Sitting across the street from North Dakota State’s campus on University Drive, the Turf is a classic, fun college bar. My favorite aspect of it is the rooftop patio. I love bars that have a good patio, but rooftop patios are game changers. Drinking on a rooftop is just plain fun.
Also, it’s truly astonishing just how many road construction projects Fargo has going at the same time. Unbelievable. 5.4.
My favorite kind of chicken is turkey.
