Tastee Freez in Moorhead during the summer is incredible. Their selection of slushies, malts and shakes features a variety of choices that always hits the spot on a warm day.
Their food menu is decent too.
I recently tried their chicken strip basket to be featured in lucky review No. 13.
It was a pretty standard basket. The chicken was decent quality with an average breading and crunch to it. The fries were crispy and adequately-salted, while the ranch was a run-of-the-mill container of ranch you can find anywhere.
My complaint about the basket was altogether, it was pretty greasy. I was thinking mid-sevens after my initial couple of bites, but the grease caused it to lose some points as I neared the end.
It was about a 6.4; not awful but nothing I’d preach about in the streets. Make it less of an oily mess and you’re looking at a mid-sevens.
I guess having really greasy food makes the frozen treats taste that much better, though. Well played, Tastee Freez. 6.4.
