Good day and welcome to some more unprecedented chicken tender content.
Lucky’s is one of my favorite regional restaurants. I almost always opt for one of the massive burgers or delightful sandwiches, but I finally had to see if the chicken tenders lived up to the rest of the menu.
These were some of the most odd-looking chicken strips I’ve eaten. They look like they came out of a frozen bag labeled “compressed chicken patties.” HOWEVER, the flavor was actually pretty decent.

As expected, they were a little dry, but the breading was nicely seasoned and crispy enough. The taste reminded me of something that was meant to be a country fried chicken patty. I didn’t hate them.
The fries were in the fryer for just a minute too long. The quality was fair, but a few of them were on the burned side and they could’ve used an extra pinch of salt.
I loved the ranch. It was runny and full of flavor. I wish I had more of it.
Overall, I’ll give this basket a 6.5. The chicken really was better than I anticipated and I would never be mad about eating it.
To answer my earlier question of will these live up to the rest of the menu — no. Nonetheless, I still love Lucky’s and highly recommend the burgers, sandwiches, apps and brunch. They have a towering platter of nachos that comes in a mind-blowing proportion. The half order is huge, the full order is a full-blown behemoth.
In conclusion, the tenders didn’t stand out, but go to Lucky’s. Get some tots, get some nachos, get a burger or a sandwich or a breakfast burrito. It’s all great.
Thanks for reading. Stay well.
