Good day, friends and followers. I hope you’re happy, healthy and HUNGRY after reading my take on the new Arby’s spicy prime rib cheesesteak.
I’ve had this one in the vault for awhile to use when I had a slower week. Shoutout to recurring requester Marcos Luna for the idea and sorry it took so long to post.
Let’s get into the goods. It starts with a soft sub roll that’s topped with sliced prime rib. Added on are yellow and red peppers and provolone cheese, and it’s finished with a sweet and spicy sauce.
Overall, it was a fine sandwich. I love soft sub bread like this and the steak was solid for a fast food joint. My two complaints were the sauce and the cheese. I with there was more cheese. When I think of a cheesesteak in any capacity, I want a lot of cheese. It’s in the name.
The sauce tasted fine. It was like a sweet and spicy pepper sauce, which I think paired well with the prime rib. But there was a huge concentration of the sauce at the spine of the bun. It wasn’t distributed well.
All in all, it was a respectable cheesesteak effort. Like I mentioned in the video, I’m sure hardcore Philadelphians would toss it in the street and run it over. But for a midwest Arby’s, it’ll do.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for watching. I appreciate you and hope you have a good weekend.
