Sup, fam. Welcome to the 95th installment of the Basket Review.
This chicken strip basket was requested by my guy Turner Blaufuss. Much love, Turner, thank you for requesting.
I believe I had eaten at Hooligans once prior to this and I enjoyed it. Nice chicken wings. BUT, how does the chicken strip basket stack up?
It’s a strong basket. I wouldn’t quite put it in one of the top tiers, but it’s very good. The level of crunch was how I like it and the chicken itself was decent in quality and was juuust a hair dry, but nothing to complain about. Overall it had good flavor and adequate seasoning. It was along the lines of a standard, commonly found chicken strip, but it was prepared and presented well.
The fries were tasty. They were salty and had a pleasant crunch while maintaining a fluffy interior. It was one of the better sides of ranch I’ve had, too. I also got a side of the Hooligans gold sauce, which was an enjoyable, tangy, BBQish sauce. Almost like a mustard BBQ or something like that.
Overall, I’ll give this basket a 7.4. I liked it. It was a meal I’d always be excited to eat. Thank you for the request, Turner, I appreciate you. Thanks to everyone for reading and watching.
